why borrow extra to save , you will pay a lot more in the long run. A garentour is a someone who is liable for the payments if you dont pay. This will have to be your parents or someone that trusts you very well.

how much of the loan you think of using for a car ???? , it may be worth looking at getting one on interest free credit (will be newish and wont cost a fortune)

well with alliance and leicter or however you spell it, they charge you an extra 400 somthing pounds extra e.g 6400 total payments so its only 400 pounds anyway, i wanted to spend 3,000 on the car and then pay for the insurence costs

My advice would be not to get a loan, one of the worst things I ever did.
