manifold question!
i was looking at gettin a manifold in the group buy thing but just wondered what do i do with the stuff that currently goes into the top of the standard manifold??

you just leave it, it doesnt go into the manifold.

nah i know it looks like it but it takes it's warm air from the side of the engine not the manifold. it just sits above the manifold. you can either leave it, or rip the whole egr system off and plug the hole where it mounts to the engine, entirely up to you

what does the egr system do? would it have an effect if i took it off? coz it will look naff if i get a manifold with that thing stuck there!

Its something to do with starting the car its not needed, I cant remember the full details.
I removed mine though.

pumps warm air into the intake when the engine is cold. not needed, just bin it.
