Does the mk1 manifold fit the mk2 engine.

yes it does providing your are talking about a VTS. If you are talking about a VTR then the answer is a little more complicated. The later MK2 VTR's have a different style of oil filter which means the MK1 manifold cannot fit due to the proximity of the downpipe to the oil filter. I am talking in respect of aftermarket 4-1 systems here although i suspect the same is true for the standard units (do not take my word for this). GMC do an oil filter adapter kit to convert a later style MK2 oil filter to the older style MK1 system. The new stainless steel unit for the VTR may also fit both models without the oil filter adapter kit but youwould need to verify that info with GMC.
