how much would a engine with that spec be worth? surely theres a 200hp 9000rpm screacher somewhere to be brought?

to be serious ,i wouldn,t buy an highly tuned engine s/h unless you really know what you are doing
ask yourself why is it for sale?
an engine which will give power @9k will be ubusable for road and would never pass an mot

If you are looking for 200+ hp go for turbo. Don't waste your money for atmospheric modifications, it will cost a lot.
Other way : You can port&polish, induction kit, exhaust manifold, cams, remap this will be around 150-155hp. Then you can buy nitro and 50hp shot. You will have a nice for everyday driving car and when you want you can have 200 hp. With turbo convertion you can have the same power for almost the same money, but you will not have enough grip. The turbo will make your engine not very reliable because of the much bigger pressure in the cilinders.

I can do the convertion for about 1,5k euro but this will work only for 0,5-0,7 bar. Standart pistons, lowered compression of the head with metal gasket, chinese turbo t28 or t3, custom made manifold, extra injector controlled with MF2 (no remap needed here), intercooler, fuel pressure regulator, blowoff valve, wastegate, boost controller (not electronic ) this gives you about 160 hp.
