depends how big your wallet is and how far your prepared to go as with enought money almost any engine could be fitted, but for best bhp for £ people drop vts engines in however you allready got a vts so how bout looking into a turbo or s/c conversion as it will retain the standard engine and will give a better power to weight ratio then a bigger engine e,g a 1.6 vts turbo can be tuned to give the same bhp output as a 3l v6 but weights half

the only diff in the v6 3.0 is that engine is all ready got the power and could be uprated but you sorta get to a dead end on a saxo with a little engine bay
so would not even bother with engines in to 1.6 saxo

yeah fair commet i jsut mean for best £money way it would be better to turbo or s/c it rahter then fit a bigger engine, fabricate mounts, engien electronics etc... custom drive shafts and then setup plus might handle like shite coz of all the extra weight on the front end, or rear end for that matter. the zcars civic conversion starts at £11,000 where as you can get a reliable turbo or supercharger conversion for £3-£4k

before going on about v6 engines, get someone to take you out in a cammed/boosted vts then see if you still want to fit a bigger engine. But to be honest although boosting the sax is mucho fun, for the total cost I would just buy a faster and more reliable car.

Is there really any point though in whacking a v6 in a saxo. As sean said, your better off going out and buying the quicker and more reliable car. Unless you really want to do it i don't personally see much point.
