Im not quite sure whether this is in the right section or not but it is about care of my first car so if it needs moving mods, feel free.
Right first off, yes im 17, yes ive just passed my test and yes, my first car is a 1.1 saxo. But as the saying goes, dont judge a book by its cover.
I bought my car back in february when it wasnt in such a good state, the front had taken a small impact meaning me and my dad had to replace the bonnet, wings, grille, bumber and we had to straighten a small bit of the chassis. We bought it knowing this so we wernt in the dark but we ended up giving it a bit of a transformation:-
This is the only picture i have of the car when i first bought it
We got to work straight away Taking off all we could from the front and started to straighten it all out
All of the dents that could be pulled out were, but a few had to be filled, one main one was just above the rear offside window. It wasnt fun in the winter trying to fill it
Once the major bodywork dents and scrapes were pulled out or filled, we started to rub it all down
The hardest part now was finding a body shop willing to let us use their booth. My dad sprays for Aston Martin and wanted to do it himself, but a bodyshop round the corner was happy to help.
Once in the booth we started to mask up
Lots of paint, clear cote, and hard work and this was sitting on my drive

Oh and its in Ferrari Grigio Titanio
Now all that was left was to put it all back together
Now ive fitted front four stud struts and hubs and all new brakes, im just in the process of finding a new rear beam but i think its come on quite well
Iv done a few photoshops just to show what it will look like with some nice rims on, but iv got some Compomotive Mo's in white and sum rubber waiting to go on already.
I know that everyone hates people who put VT* kits on lower powered cars but to be honest i wanted a car that looks good and cheap to insure, im not into 5" backboxes, lexus lights and massive bodykits so hopefully i wont get labelled as a chav either.
Well all of this was back a couple of months ago now, i passed my test in september and have been driving the car since November, and here it is now
Thanks
