Default which is best to do?

right i am going to be buying some new speakers the weekend but have been thinking, would it be better to buy expensive components and run them off the head unit or buy a suitable amp to run my current ones (100 Watt peak, 25Watt rms LOL!)

can anyone advise on this?

Cheers

Define 'expensive', you woudl be better off putting the money to by a average amp and average components.
You'll notice the most difference by amping them rather than buying good speakers and running them off the HU (put crap in, get crap out). 25WRMS is pretty low though.

If your head unit amp is crap, expensive speakers won't make much difference.

i thought a 50 x 4 headuit gives out 27w rms per hannel anyway.

personally i would spend the most i could on a decent set of components see how they sound and if your not happy amp them!

Amp:

Speakers:
http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/alpi...a834cdc2221e41
Which leaves plenty for a 8awg wiring kit. I'd also put £15 aside for some flashing tape, unless you're planning on using some decent deadening material at a later date...
