Default Saxo Running Badly

Hi there my saxo idles nicely at about 900 revs , but keeps on sounding like its wanting to cut out. Its a 1.4i Westy have changed plugs and had no change. Got an engine management test done said engine coolant temp sensor was gone and fuel pressure sensor, just replaced both with brand new components and still no change. Could it be the Coil Pack and would the engine managment test have told me if the coil pack had gone.

Thanks

i dont think the diagnostics could tell you if the pack is gone, although in haynes i have read that you can test the pack for continuity with a tester 'technical crap'

i think its your stepper motor

i took mine out, cleaned the gunk off it and been good since

If you have had a diagnostics check done already that would tell you if the coil pack was knackered... so it is obviously ok...

The engine management light doesn't have to be on for a diagnostic to indicate you have a fault...

jacko18... what your car is doing is perfectly normal.. if you turn your stearing wheel the power steering kicks in, thus zapping some of your cars power... when your car is driving along normally you shouldn't notice this... if it gets to the point where your revs drop really low... then it sounds like you could have a problem with your alternator...
