dont really now if this is a problem or not. my temp gauge sits half way between the middle and the red. it never goes to the red though, just wondered if this is normal or should i check it out?

Mine has been like that since new mate.

Shitroens are HOT STUFF, mine is running 3/4 all the time and alot of peeps on here are the same.

Nowt to worry about, just keep checking your radiator. Mine is on it's way out so keeping a constant eye on it.

you dont want it going to the red that means your over heating and something could be wrong!

if the needle hits a point then essentially stays to that point then its fine

mine sometimes even goes higher than that point, and then the fans start with the second stage which runs faster.

mine is in winter stays at the between middle and white summer (in these days) stays 1mm above from the middle point...


Where is your oil temperature??

an engine is supposed to work at its best in 200 degrees, but the the saxo temp gauge does no have the written temp. anyone know what temp is the middle point?

In the manual it states that the first line is 90 oC and the second 100 oC, it should sit in between the two points. the optimum temp for an engine is nowhere near 200oC, as the piston rings would warp. The optimum temp for the car is around 95oC,don't worry until it goes into the red.

i meant 200 degrees F which equals to 95 degrees C!!

it the second line supposed to be the line in the middle
