btw, im almost 19 and been driving for about 18 months! if people r paying that sort of price for a 1.4, then im gonna get dat, coz dats a couple of hundred less than wot im paying for my 1.1 at the mo!
im kinda swaying towards a mk1 coz i quite like the carzone bodykit! plus i think it looks betta on a mk1 than a mk2!

if you get a quote from elephant, get a quote for a 12 month policy and not the 10 month accelerator bonus one as if you decide to change insurance compnies after the year, a lot of other compnies do not accept a 10 month bonus thing as a full years no claims discount.

pointless going from a 1.1 to a 1.4 really, just save up for a bit longer and go for a vtr/vts, think about it... 6 months down the line ull prolly be wanting to do that anyway. Also from what ive heard the 1.1s are just as quick as the 1.4s, might be wrong tho.
Your only looking at like a 300-400£ differense tops on insurance between a group 5 and 7 anyway, and furios seam to be more expensive to buy.

im all confused now!
black_vtr, ur probably rite, i think i mite just ring up insurance companies and see what quotes they can give me for either a vtr or 1.4 westcoast! if its not to much difference, then im gonan try and push for a vtr then! - its wot i wanted in the 1st place!
all i gotta do is keep on pushing at my parents for one, but i've been wanting to change my car for ages, they always seem to "forget" or never bring it up after it has first been mentioned!
