Its rare that you find an 18 year old with a VTS although theres a lad on here called Salmon1 who had a vtr at 17 and a month after he turned 18 (and passed his test) he got a VTS, i think he is paying nearly £3000 for third party inruance for it though.
I got mine when i turned 20 and im paying £950 fully comp with 0 no claims with bell. (I acctually think it might have crept over £1000 now with some recent mods i declared but id prefer not to think about that )

My advice to you barney would be to aim for a Furio. You will still get the VT* 'look' with the arches etc. You will get reasonable insurance a car with plenty of poke while you learn to drive (after you have passed the test) and built up confidence on the road. Once you have a ncb or 2 under your belt think about a VTR or VTS (or other similar powered car)
Worst thing you can do is pass your test & jump in a fast car
