Bell...I'm Impressed!
Insurance is up for renewal on 1st May so decided to phone up a few places.
Phoned up AA and they won't touch until I am 25 because the car is lowered. So I decided to phone 'Bell' and get an insurance quote.
On there policy called 'Flexi-Bell' they quoted me £1,138 fully comp. That includes Windscreen Cover, Legal Cover and I'm covered to drive ANY car 3rd party BUT the excess is higher. I have declared all mods, car is garaged, 3,000 miles a year (will be from now on), CAT1 Alarm & Immobiliser, £3500 car value and 2 named drivers.
Impressed to say the least

I think I will when I ring them up to confirm I'll be having it. Any tips?
I'm currently paying £1,956 on a 10 month policy so to go to £1,138 on a 12 month policy and 3rd party cover - that's pretty smart.

sure, go check out the prices from the others with the admiral group... so admiral and elephant.
try and search of a couple of other places and see if you get similar if you can then ring them up. dont mentio your previous internet quote... go through the details and that wait for the quote. then ummm and ahhh when they give you the cost.
when i did mine i said I'd found a slightly cheaper quote elsewhere and that I'd spoken to the company, gave them an insurance company that first came into my head and gave a not too unrealistic figure lol. the women said she would ring me back in an hour... 30mins later she said 'this is the absolute lowest i can go blah blah'. So i decided not to push it and accepted it.
it sounds a lot but its worth it.

Have you tried brentacre? I'm with them, they will beat any quote, so I'm pretty sure they will beat that one if you tell them what you got.
Please just ring them before you buy your insurance, i beg of you.

Admiral was cheaper by about £30 but couldn't offer me 3rd party cover. I'm already with Elephant, so I am waiting on my renewal but on a new quote it's about £1,400 so quite expensive really.
Thanks for advice though, I'll keep trying tomorrow.

I rang them up about 7.30 tonight mate, but they were shut so I will try tomorrow.
I can't see them beating that one for some reason.

I'm ringing up Brentacre tomorrow for a quote.
I got my renewal through today for Elephant, £1,398 FC so I rang them and managed to get it down to £1,159 on a 10 MONTH policy so I won't be going with them.

I tried Brentacre today and because my Elephant policy is a '10 Month Bonus Policy' they will NOT accept that a 1yrs NCB so I told them I won't even bother with a quote.
Looks like I am going with Bell.

There not actualy, you can't get fairer than them. It's a very personal service, and I agree with them I wouldn't accept Accelerated NCB as 1NCB.
Companys like Bell for example, do it so they trap you into staying with there grouped companies!

nah thats a good quote luke, specially that you can drive any car under 3rd party.
hopefully i will get a quote like that, but i havnt got 2 yrs ncb, i got 2yrs drivers ncb, wonder how much difference it would make.
