Dunno if t-cut would work. Just get some primer, black paint and lacquer from halfords.

You can't t-cut the chevrons.. they aren't black underneath...
It is in my how to guide...
key surface of chevrons with 1200 grit paper..
2 coats of primer...
3 coats of black paint...
2/3 coats of laquer..
Bobs your unkle it's looking good so far buddy!

'Black Only'
Anyother colour pretty much, looks tacky TBH.
Black Chevrons on the White grill will really stand out and look quite special, but if you do do it then make sure like FurioAL mentioned prime it up well otherwise it could flake and look pony.
