Gearbox? Clutch? Engine?!
Ok..
My car's shagged I think.. basically, driving down the road normally, everything seems fine, I put the clutch in to slow down and change gear, and the revs go 1-2-1-2-1-2 permanently...
Then 10 minutes later it's normal....

Idle control Valve.. Simple fix..
Just take it off and clean it out or buy a new one..

Isn't that the idle control valve? It plugs into the back of the Throttle body..

If it helps I took off the pipe that goes from the airbox to the front, with a narrowing in it and a small tubing that goes into something above my airbox.. I'm guessing this is linked to it

Dont think so. Think the ICV is a unit plugged into the throttle body that acctually opens the intake up to idle. The sensor is just to feed information about airflow back to the ECU?
Thats my take on it anyway.

Will have a look tonight, any diagrams?
When it revs up it starts jolting and everything when moving, quite un-nerving
