Locking Wheel Nuts
Hi there,
Are all locking wheel nuts the same on the Saxo VTR alloys? The bloke who changed the pads on the front tightened them up using the windy hammer and now they won't budge. It seems the locking wheel nut socket (used to take them off) is chipped inside meaning it won't grip the nut properly.
Will I need to replace the socket and 4x locking wheel nuts?
Cheers,

Ouch. same happened to me ages ago with a stupid 3 pin set. had to hammer a smaller socket onto them in the end.if you can still get them off dont put them back on itll just cause you grief later.

yea as above best bet is to buy another decent set and use a 'Method' to get the old ones off

3 of 4 pins are ok but there's no way this wheel nut is budging - as soon as I apply any force it just slips off. The nut key is in a bag with a bar code on it so I'm hoping the local dealer will be able to get another one

should do as theres a code printed on the bag the key comes in and also on the key itself, buy yourself a breaker bar from halfords mate, there ideal for getting really tight nuts loose

Ended up having to take the car up to the garage that did the brake pads. The drivers side wheel nut was that badly rounded they had to weld another nut on top to get it out
Looks like I'm gonna need another set of locking wheel nuts soonish as I'm driving the car around with only 3 bolts in each wheel lol. Can anyone recommend a set which won't meet the same end as the Citroen ones? I like the look of those McGard jobbies!

have you took it to the garage and asked if they will undo it for you? then you tighten it yourself then when your back home u can do it yourself
