rear light steaming up / what to do with mirrors..
Hi guys, firstly i have some mk1 rear lights, theyve got no cracks etc but the one on the left i took off tonight and it had loads of water in.... i know its the seal but i was wandering if there is anything i can do to try and make it seal better ?
Secondly i dont know what to do with my mirrors... was thinking of having where its black now sprayed gold and then getting black mirror caps ?
Heres a pic
Cheers

i wouldnt drill them, take them off and dry them out, clean them all down icluding the seals and the metal bit on the car so its free of dirt etc, put some vaseline on the seals and tighten them up
the vaseline will provide a good seal and also keep the rubber subtle

Try tightening the light more mate, it happened to me. Was at a meet, saw a bit of water in me light so i took it off. Loads of water came out! I put it back in and tightened it loads and its ok now!

Had the same problem recently I did exactly what Pred said, fine now
One thing I found out at the last meet, was to tighten it up using you 19mm wheel brace. not pilliars like I was using.
