Fuel Filter & Coilpack Queries
Evening folks,
1. While i was servicing the S i came accross this plug on the outlet side of the fuel filter which i couldnt figure out how to remove. Anyone know?

Fuel Filter Plug
2. Also i was gonna swap my coilpack for a different one so see if it changed the way the car idles / performs (as its rather sluggish down the torque end of the scale atm) The white plugged pack below was from a 3 plug ECU model & mine on the left is a single plug model. There any difference in the packs or can i just file that extra plastic strip off of the white one so the plug matches my old one?

Coil Pack Plugs
Thanking you

on the fuel filter there should be a little button type thing on the connector u press and then just pull the pipe. its tricky to get off but if u keep trying it will eventually give way
im prety sure the coil pack on a mk2 is diff to a mk1......

The plug on the other side of the filter has a button on it but this one doesnt appear to.
In what way are the packs different though? They both look the same, have the same connections etc & both fit. It just seems to be that the 3 plug has 3 plastic ridges on it & the single plug only has 2

Angel is correct about the fuel filter. That side has a less obvious button you need to pinch, just like the plug on the other side.
If you're unsure about the coil pack, just give the dealership a quick bell, it won't cost nothing but a phone call.

Stick an ohmmeter across the contacts, if its the same reading they've got the same windings.
