The veyron as standard produces more than the 1001bhp as standard, I read that they play it down for some reason. Also the thing probly isnt safe, they limited the veyrons speed because when testing it used to take off when derestricted and they couldnt keep it on the ground. So if the owner ever tried to test its new top speed hed be flying(probably).

i understand that the 1001 value was a typical conservative value the VAG group slapped on the veryon... they reckoned nearer 1050... then they also say that the hp varies about 10% between models... so some could have 1100 out of the factory anyway...
I'd have bunged an ebay resistor on it and charged him £200k... which i bet was half he paid anyway.
