Surely 10mm will bring the wheels out far enough not to catch the strut? Happy birthday anyway mate.

baring in mind there 8" all round on mine, so if you fit 185's to the back there gonna be stretched more on your 8.5's.
Also dont forget the diameter of each set of tyres. Use some tyre calculation software off the internet to figure them out. Think 195's rear & 175's front are very similar as are 185's rear & 165's front. If you struggle to get decent 175's and you mentioned about having the sidewalls look the same id be tempted to just put 185 nakangs on all round!

yeh im really thinking of going 185 all around then there all the same make to m8 160 or 180 for 4 from mytyres

and secondly- this car is an absolute credit to you, as is the HRV  absolutely love the colour  and the amount of time its taken is eye watering considering the quality  top marks

thanks saxojoww for the happy birthday . and to that as wished me happy birthday .. also thanks for looking at both my projects and loving them both . really missing working on the hrv cos thats going to be mad inside everything fibre glass  and full of audio . i will start a thread on that when the saxo is done soon
