Default Radio not working

I have no idea why, i remember it used to work when i got the car or anything. im 99% sure its nothing to do with the h/u because ive tested it with others and it still doesnt work, all that comes through is noise, very occasionally i may hear some extremely muffled radio through it. the noise does not change at all when i plug the antenna in or take it out, just exactly the same.

any ideas what it could be? i've probably just been stupid and missed something.

pretty sure it is the right connector for it... looks like this: and it does fit into the back of the headunit properly.

and yeah the car uses iso connectors for the headunit but i'm not sure what difference that would make to the aerial/radio reception. about the wiring loom i'm not sure about these things but the cars had a new engine put in, so maybe some other things have been replaced (i'm not sure what engine it is).
