Default Collo's Vtr/ Now The GTI Progress Thread! (pic heavy)

Hi,

Right were do I start? The beginnings probably a good place. I’ve had my 51 plate Saxo Vtr for 2 years now after part exchanging my old 106 xsi for it. I picked it up with only 28,000 on the clock, pretty good mileage for its age. As soon as I got it home the modifications started!

Heres what it looked like to start with

Absolutely standard apart from the sub which I put in for the time being when I got it home.

i then came to my sences and made a custom grille out of the old shoddy bit of mesh and the original grille. painted the chevrons in wikid red to match the paintwork.

You made the right choice by putting the old grille back on and painting the chevrons, looks nice

Next job was to fit new lights with painted black inserts. when i opened the bonnet i saw the state of the engine bay n had a major clean up. I removed the heat shield, painted the manifold cove black, got a new feed pipe from the filter to the throttle bodie, and also got a cold air feed pipe. this will hopefully turn into a procomp intake and filter but can't find one anywhere.
