how do i find out the size of my springs??

I have a set of springs i plan to use on my vtr to lower it... How do i find out how much theyll lower it buy theres no marking or anything?

surely you should know by whoever sold them too you telling you? ? How do you come across a set of springs which no one knows what they are ? ? :/

He didnt he just said he was going to lower and said theirs some springs in the boot. This was like 5 months ago and i was never going to lower i was just gonna sell to a mate but now im very much considering it........ So im guessing there isnt a way

I'd just pay for coilovers, or 40 quid lowering springs if times are hard.
