Default Oil filter relocation - tapping hole

I'm pretty much sorted with my oil filter relocation for 421 mani on my vtr, however when it's come to tapping Telly's oil return to m10, I'm struggling.

Am I just being a girl or is it just hard and I need to persist with it?

Only thing I think i missed was using cutting oil as I haven't got any, but can't see that making a massive difference. It also seems to be almost impossible to apply pressure, keeping it straight and turning it ( can I fuck multitask)

Am I missing any obvious tricks or just shit at life?

There are 2 different sorts of tap.

A actual cutting tap and a re threading tap. the re-threading taps are really hard to get going. Where as the cutting tap will tap it easy.

I always load the tap with grease then it will catch all the burrs. then half way clean the tap and re load with grease. the less burrs in the hole the better yu don't want that shit in the oil system

That might explain it, I've borrowed Muzizzles Rolson tap and die set which just had one in.

Might have a look tomorrow for a proper cutting tap and grab some grease too
