Default Strange humming dull noise from front end

Was driving to work this morning and after about half hour of travel, i heard a noise that sounded like it was coming from the front end of the car, right side was more prominent. Only seemed to happen when i took my foot off the accelerator, kinda like a loud dull grinding/rubbing type noise which at first i thought may be my brakes or tyre but didnt seem to suffer any performance loss. Its an S reg Saxo VTR and has done 95,000miles, MOT isnt until november and it flew through its last with no issues, only just got this car last saturday from a garage and have 3months warranty as per standard but dont want this to be something small that will develop into something major ie head gasket or gearbox..any suggestions or past experiences with this will be a huge help as i'm getting a little paranoid now. Theres no difference in the noise when turning or braking, just seems to start between 25-60mph and the noise happens the moment i lift on acceleration.

Many thanks in advance!!

Agreed, intermediate bearing. Actually on the nearside of the car but can sound like it's coming from the offside.

So going on what you guys are saying it is, its not something thats going to cause major damage between now and saturday, just an annoying noise? I'm trying to ease my mind abit as i'm facing an hour long drive home tonight from work..been thinkin about it its like a dull vibrating lower version of a fan belt squeal..

Awesome!! I'm covered by 3months warranty at the garage i bought it from, as this is standard cover legally offered by most garages, do you happen to know if this particular issue would be covered?
