Fuel Pressure Regulator
Heyya guys i have been looking at these for a while now.
Are they similar to power boost valves.
What are your views on these.

Ok thanks. Just want opinions.
If i was to go purchase this and fit it to my vtr, turned pressure up full what would the outcome be mate.
Sorry but just want to find the ins and outs lol.

I had a weird problem after a track day, car was acting like lack of fuel, loss of power and cutting out. Did if late in the day and broke down a couple of times on way home. Been 100% fine since. I've replaced the fuel filter as a precaution but the guy at the track said fuel starvation was a problem on the Saxo and to keep the tank topped up. Thought maybe a slightly higher pressure might help?

Good shout yehh. I dont think upping the pressure will harm anyways, and as its adjustable i think it could come in handy at some stage. As they say overfuel is better than underfuel lol.

Where is the regulator on a VTR?
Doubt you'd need uprated pump for modest increase in pressure.

increasing the fuel pressure wont need a bigger fuel pump unless your going metal. You can buy preset fprs far cheaper than adjustable ones. 3.5bar, 4bar etc.
Will increase the fuel pressure at the injectors, which can make the spray better.
Useless without a remap though, will just make the car overfuel at certain rpms since it ups the fuel across the board rather than just where it actually needs!

either on the rail or ontop of the fuel pump under the seat

Nice bit of info. I have not seen the preset ones. The adjustables are only around the £30 mark anyways so not breaking the bank hehe.
Where is the actual pressure regulator on mk1 vtr. Anyone got a pic.

Will have to check, probably at the rail end, they're normally in the engine bay on the few cars I've seen, mind you the last car I checked was my Strada Abarth and that runs carbs i.e. low pressure

I have seen a few underneath the car mind around fuel tank.

Im 99% sure i seen that in the bay earlier. Thats not a bad pressure for standard mind. Id imagine the vts runs similar if not the same. Correct me if im wrong.

I thought it would have been a bit higher if anything.
I think i am going to get one of these, even if it doesnt gain me much at least it will look good in the bay, ohh and maybe a lil pop now and again lol.
Plus if i ever have starvation problems.
