you need to go through those pics and delete the ones where the car looks like its parked on the track (e.g the viper pics for example). Theres alot there that doesn't show the speed that the car is travelling.
You need to use a slower shutter speed on these so you create a blur in the background and the wheels appear blurred.
this is a no
this is a yes please
you must surely agree the second pic looks better than the first as the car looks like its moving?
Apart from that you look like you have a nice set of pics

i totaly understand mate. the only problem i found was when i slowed down the shutter speed i was finding it really diffacult to get the car in focus. mybe it was the poor lighting conditions because it was really overcast.
thanks for the advice mate! you can only learn from the best

As Jaybiss said mate, the shutter speed is a bit too high so alot of the cars look stationary. When you lower the shutter a bit you need to 'pan' with the car. i.e. move the camera a bit to keep the car in the same area of the picture while the shutter is open. This is probably why the car looks out of focus in some, its probably not out of focus, just blurred due to the car moving quickly & the camera not moving at all.
Maybe the worst explanation of how to pan but in a nut shell lower the shutter & try to move with the car a little. In shutter priority mode on a sunny day you should be able to get away with the shutter at 1/80 or 1/100 without much problem.
Pics looking good though, its all practise, was this the stage at Knockhill? I cant picture where your standing...

theyre mostly all round the left hand side of the track if looking at the pit straight.
most i think are in the general area of beign just at/after the series of downhill bends at the end of the pit straight (before continuing down then back up to the chicane)

once again mate i totally agree with what you say and i fully understand. The problem i was having was when i was turning the exposer down to say...anything less than 200-250 i was finding it really difficult to get a decent sharp picture and that was panning with the car. like you said man..on a sunny day where there is plenty light it would be alot easier, but due to it being really dark and overcast (rain at some points) was finding it hard if not imposible to get any pics that were in focus. Mybe i just wasnt smooth anough when i was panning? it was rather cold and i wasnt using a mono stand or anything.
I was standing just before the S's at the bottom of the track after you have come through all the corners after duffus dip
cheers for the reply tho mate
