the lhs ballast should fit under the euc tray fine as all the ecus' trays are the same size so space underneith should be the same?
Im not happy with where my rhs one is and it wont reach the fuse bos tray without extending the wires , a job for a rainy day!
Its amazing the difference HID's make isnt it! Just angle them down or the pigs will pull you for them!
Sounds like the car needs to be seen by adam tbh... he has pulled that area apart enough to know whats up i should imagine!

UPDATE:
Popped up the M5 to jordysports earlier to sort out my sunroof. He had one spare on his latest pug so i found some dolla and had that off him.
He helped me fit it and after a little while, a handful of dremmel disks and some very rusted screws, the new one was in!
As its from a 106 its not identical to the one i had, but it fits fine. has a few dimples on the top which looks a bit off but will do for now!
Lets just hope once it starts raining again taht it doesnt leak!
I also found this quite interesting, had a look at my down pipe and exhaust manifold and you can see why its blowing so bad! theyres a HUUUGEEE gap! so out came the exhaust sealer, got that on ...still blowing... so jacked the car up, and between the cat and the downpipe the garage had JUST worked on was also blowing. So some sealer on that and its sounding much better now.
Still not 100% and prob wont last long, but will do for now! 4-2-1 is still the plan soon.
AND finally found out what the grinding noise was, its my lowerbrace rubbing on the bottom arm (which has just been replaced) not sure what to do as i dont really wanna get rid of the bottom brace. ideas?

Exhaust wrap stuff, buy a roll for your 4-2-1 manifold then use a bit around your strut brace this will be heat resistant (near the exhaust and it will stop in making a metallic knocking.
On the way home, left at about 12:24 and managed to get home before 12:30 . MGF FTW.

haha FAIL!
was quite funny seeing two posi sax's infront both 1.4's and i could tell that most weren't far from the throttle stops lol.
1.8 vvc just cruise up behind . did poke the throttle a few times tho just for the pleasure of the sound.
also i rekon i went through about 8 dremel bits and snapped a grinding stone off lol.

so the stuff which your mechanic fixed he actually didnt fix!!! it sounds like you should have gone back there and pointed out your not a mug and you realise they didnt fix it properly tbh... either that or im getting the wrong end of the stick!?!
HID's look brighter and whiter than mine im wondering if you bought 4700/4000k bulbs??? if you did make sure they are adjusted to the floor when you see the old bill

Update:
One of the things that has been annoying the crap out of me for some time is the fact that my intermitant wipers dont work...This was annoying, but i got by. However yesterday on way back from jordysports, they stopped working all together
so on my last day off i decided to sort it out!
I changed the fuse and wiped the old stalk out the badger and swapped it across...
...Now the medium and fast settings were working, but still no intermitant!
Last idea was the relay, which in honesty i should have changed first lol fortunately lippy had left the wiper relay in the badger when he took the rest out. so got that one from theyre and hey presto!
Also started work on my smoothed boot popper. Plastic welded in a plate i cut from a random plastic ducting from the badger i had lying about and then fibreglassed over the top of that.
In hindsight, i probably should have welded the plate to the front of the boot popper and behind it as ill have to build it up with filler more now.
Will update at next stage

probably not, i like the badges, but i may still get rid of them. probably should take the ones off the badger seeing as the current ones are looking rather nakered!
smoothed bootlock should look ok, got some posi blue spray cheap as well which is helpful!
just need to sweet talk lippy to help me with the boot popper once its all done

so in the end it was the stalk for part of the wiping switching and the relay for the others... lol who'd have thought it
At least yours was sorted in 1 day! im still trying to work out why my battery keeps going flat
Boot popper is a no no... dont buy a solonoid! all it needs is a central locking mechanism! about £5 from ebay, we want the one with 2 cables not 5!

despite popular demand im not dead!
nah, havnt had best of luck with this car.
I shall re-cap:
Bought the Car in November:
- 2 Weeks later - Gearbox & Clutch went - £450 (and using the 1.1 box)
- New Windscreen - £55
- MOT - Failed badly - New cat, old one was empty! - Total Bill - £500
- New Sunroof - £30
- New Exhaust manifold - £95
Its running ok at the moment, but we'll see. Gearbox is still making some weird noises. Also the squeek from front nearside wheel is still there.
Not done anything to it but clean it recently. Think i may buy a Sub and Some 17cm Comps for the back, but tahts all im doing for now as i plan to move out soon.
Got a few pictures of recent activites. some of which make me cry
Also removed my lower strut brace as i had bashed it on somethign and it was grinding against the lower arms...FAIL
New boot install FTW?
And the day that inevitably had to come...The badger was taken away. So i took everything i possibly could off it. Fromt start - Finish
From this:
To this:
And the day it went:
All the stuff from it sorted (kind of) in the garage
And the Shell...RIP Badger
Maybe some udpates coming soon, but i wouldnt hold your breath!
Sorry i didnt ring you back lippy, i was quite drunk when you rang me that time and completely forgot the next day!
