Default help

Hi did a trcak day 2 weeks ago and the car died, to cut a long story short the bigger wheeels we fitted rubbed through the wiring loom and shorted some of the wires.

All wires have now been replaced but the immobiliser has both red and green lights on it and it does not accept the code. I have tried the usual ideas disconnet battery etc but i think the keypad is fubar

Question is are the keypads coded or is it just the ecu thas coded

in english if i use the keypad from a mates car with my code on my car will it workor does the keypad remeber the code aswell??
