when i first recieved my 18's from Dare, there were a few balance weights lying at the bottom of the box, so i tried to find where they'd come from and stuck them back on. when i ran the car there was a bit of shaking, but hardly anything which didnt bother me because i knew within time i would get the wheels balanced.
the car was off the road over the winter and when i put it back on the road i noticed the shaking was a bit worse, so i decided to get the wheels balanced at the local garage. seeing as i used to work there, i balanced them myself and got them bang on '0', so i know they're balanced correctly. but, On my way home from the garage i had to stop because the shaking through the steering wheel was so bad, i thought i'd left the wheel slack. no slack wheels, worn track rod ends/ball joints or any sign or slackness in the steering rack when the front of the car is jacked up. i even ran the car in 4th gear on jacks to see if there was anything running eccentric. Nothing.
i also cannot pin point an exact speed that the vibration starts or stops, its pretty random.
sorry for the life story! but its just incase its something i have done thats caused the problem. does anyone one have any idea what may be wrong?! any help would be very much appreciated as i dont want to drive to FCS with the car like that, cos my arm will fall off!!!

cheers
