Default Unlocking an ECU

I have searched and found that Bluehawk can do this, but I cant believe the cost!

Now I've heard a rumour of a swapping method to unlock the ECU? Can anyone shed any light on this?

The ECU i've inadvertantly bought is from a 98 T vts and had the immobiliser in the chip key, but I have my keypad immobiliser from my VTS, do you think I could connect this and would have any chance of unlocking the ECU using the 1111 code?

Next question is, does anyone know if the immobiliser code is stored in the main EPROM chip of the ECU?

Thanks
