I've been a member of the forum for a few months now and have been seriously impressed by what I've seen. I thought it was about time I made a progress thread and got on the modifying bandwagon..
DISCLAIMER: Before I begin I better confess to having no mechanical or real car knowledge, so I warn you all I may need my hand held and looking after!
I was 18 in November and passed my test in December. Orginially wasn't looking for anything in particular for a first car but saw a friend of a friend was selling his and believed it would be a reliable option.
Eventually bought the 1.4i Furio in posi blue for £2000 with 83K on the clock (pretty steep I know!)
Here's how she looked when I got her:
Since I'm a student and therefore have a limited budget I suppose I should start on the small cheap modifications but ultimately this is what I plan to achieve:
- Remove the Furio stickers
- De-wiper
- Remove door pins
- New head unit w/aux input
- Replace blown door speakers
- Induction kit
- Smoke headlights
- Tint rear windows
- Lower 40mm
- 5 spoke alloys
Those are a few ideas lined up which will probably take long enough but I would appreciate any input or advice. Cheers in advance
