play in my knob

SAM33R Established Member Join Date: Nov 2006 Posts: 2,139 Car(s): DIABLO RED 106 GTI E36 M3 EVO iTrader Score: 1 (100%)	play in my knob to start off... i have a well floppy knob, my box is all healthy and that and my mechanic felt my linkages and he said they were ok i mean it goes in and out easily onto the gears but theres play in it theres alot of play between 1st and 3rd when in neutral what could be the cause of my knob going floppy all a sudden??? please help will rep any helpful posts thanks sam
