OK, so I was thinking about this earlier. I know we already have the IT, Multimedia & Music section but could we have a couple of new sections just for X360 and PS3?

The main idea behind this would be for setting up game meets, perfect example being the Forza 2 meet this week.

If people want in, they have to sign up and be active in the group, not say they want to join and never turn up.

Early days, needs the edges and a few of the ground rules sorting.

Agree? Any other suggestions, such as names for the groups? Club 360 being the first to spring to mind. No idea about one for the PS3 yet. Hopefully will make it a little tidier to.

pointless its a saxo site not xbox/ps3 site, why have a 360 and ps3 section? its one of the reasons the it section was put up

Yes it's a saxo site, but how many people still have saxos?

I think people just come here for the general crack on.

I'd agree it's a good idea, will stop it getting clogged up with repetative posts too..(hopefully)

I think he's requesting it for like a social thing on here with people from sax-p as theres always stuff going on weather it being setting each other on fire with flamethrowers (COD5) or ramming each other off the track (cough, penneth, cough, on Forza 2) ..etc

If that makes any sence...

Ive thought about setting up sub forums for this previously... still not sure its right or wrong.

Im keen for the social side of things, as I have a lot of PS3 sax-p contacts already.

Downside is, once its setup for PS3/Xbox, it opens the flood gates for many other sub forums, which could be worthy... and I dont want that. lol.

Any more views...

regardless of how many people have saxos, which still actually is a huge amount, its still a saxo site and i think that the ps3 and xbox fit well into the multimedia section.

As simo has said, where do you stop with sub forums? there is a ps3 gamers tag thread, sure there is an xbox one,then when the big games come out theres a thread that goes up and everyone posts in there

Maybe add PS3 & Xbox as sub forums. Under IT. Or change the name of the current one to suit consoles.

it is good to have as it means you dont have to go to other sites you could just stay on this one but like simo says it opens the flood gates for other worthy sections.

leave it as is you could always set up a social group for the diff consoles/diff games tho

OK - I've thought about this a little more last night. I think im going to 'trial' two IT sub forums... for PS and Xbox. There are lots of repeat questions getting asked in the general IT forum and if its more specific, we may get better quality answers and less repeat nonsense? Time will tell.

The driver behind doing this is so that sax-p members can interact better via their PS3/Xbox. Saxperience is not going to become a gamers forum, but if its helps sax-p members get closer together within the sax-p community, then I think its worth a shot.

I do not intend setting up dozens of sub forums and clearly where there is no/minimal community improvement, they will not be justified.

If it turns out ghey, the posts can be merged back into one forum in about 30 seconds, so its no biggie
