Default Simoz Alloy Wheel cleaner + Break dust protector = RUBBISH!

Got my new alloys on Monday, there fitted but they need a good clean (Wich i wish i did before fitting them).

I went to halfords to get 3 for 2 on cleaning products. I need a reply to my other thread ASAP as i was ready to go (Other Thread) but i got impatent and went. I got simoz stuff. Herd about it being a popular, good produt.

Followed the directions and it didn't even touch my wheels. Sill had tar and road film all over them. Warm water and suds did the job along with some engine cleaner.

Now i'm going to have to take them off again to clean the inside's of them. Or i'll refurb them

(Pics + progress thread soon)

Get some poorboys wheel sealant from www.polishedbliss.com
You will only ever need shampoo and water to clean them up after you have applied a couple of layers. It lasts months and protects the wheels.

I had my alloys on (polished lip) during the winter with the grit and salt and as long as you wash them off regularly, you will never have to use a harsh wheel cleaner that can quite frankly take the finish off your rims

get bilberry wheel cleaner from cyc.

once they are cleaned and all marks are removed, apply a wheel sealant to stop the crap sticking to the wheel.
