Didn't know of him personally but none the less, still so sad to hear of something so tragic happening to someone so young

Never knew gav other than from seeing his posts. My heart goes out to his family and friends.
As a parent its got to be harder still that it was at someone elses hands in what sounds like an unroadworthy car.

R.I.P Japman, condolences to his family. Always looked at him as being one of the big members on here, really sad that this has happened.

Only just seen this.
Such a shock. Only met him at one of the shows, but that banter was brilliant.
Was a great lad!

this is a bit strange for me, i am a member of this but never posted.
My boyfriend and another mate had gone with gav yesterday. its so tragic what has happen and all gavins mates are with his father and grandparents making sure they are not alone. i am a good friend of gavins girlfriends and as you can imagine she is unbearable right now. his mate hughsy and my boyf jamie are in a state of shock at the moment and are trying their best to keep everyone busy and making sure no one is left alone.
he was a star guys, a very very funny guy.
i will make sure a member of his family see's this thread when the time is right, and i just want to say that we are doing a few things for him here, we are collecting for a bench which we wil put on aberavon beach, we are also doing a small memorial cruise and we will probably be arranging something for his birthday which is in 2 weeks.
so its just to say thanks from one bunch of his mates to another for your messages at this really sad time.
we will of course let you all know tha arrangements.
RIP Gav..... we all miss you so much already, its just not skining in tho, we still expect you to turn up laughing..... Sleep Tight x x x

Is there details of how we can make a donation or should we start a sax-p collection to forward on?
