What kind of gains you expecting from the cam?
Whats the company mate and induction kit costs?

Company is called GSR Engineering. Visit the forum www.performance206.com in about two weeks and you'll have an idea of what's going on with the engine.
Cam I'd say minimum of 8bhp, max of 15bhp. It's impossible to tell until we actually get one reprofiled, but the cam has quite a bit to give- especially on the PSA 8v engines.
Induction kit is around the £150 mark seems a lot but unlike all the shit like K&N (I used to have a K&N 57i) it actually works. We did 4 separate tests of induction on the 206 when we ran it... first time was the standard airbox, car was pumping out 62bhp as it was. With the K&N 57i it dropped to 58bhp (quoted factory standard), with the Pipercross from a Fiat Punto 1.2 16v (had one lying around) it was 61bhp... and then with the GSR kit it was 69bhp. I also had mine remapped that day, got a nice round 74bhp.
I'll keep you posted on here regarding what we find. The head looks to be pretty solid anyway, very good for standard. The PSA induction and cams appear to be the weak spots on the TU 8v engines.

are you going to be putting bigger valves in the engine or thinking of manufacture of forged pistons&rods etc?

Lol I don't think so, as that's where it starts getting stupidly expensive and on a 1.1 it is near pointless. I'm considering lighter pistons but tbh, the 1.1 revs up nice and quickly anyway.

Stupid to ask but the lighter pistons will they be suitable for a turbo and not melt?
I shall leave you now and await results.

Selling up tom I don't have the time these days as work is pretty much top priority right now.
Just going to build a nice useable n/a spec engine and use that as it is on weekends as I barely go for random drives anymore lol!

Will do... I bought a new inlet manifold & throttle body just this morning so will let you know what sort of gains I get from that + the injectors and the re-remap to tie it all together.
Red Dot got my engine on Friday and will start poking about with it on Monday!

She goes in Saturday not heard anything about the reprofiled cam yet, which is worrying but I'll let you know.
Will be installing all the VTR parts no matter what, so God knows what gains I'll see where. It's £120-worth of stuff (induction kit @ £100 and VTR inlet/TB/injectors @ £20) so will be interesting to see if there's any gain whatsoever.
Should be a fully ported and flowed head in the garage for me on Saturday too

*sigh*
Got there yesterday, no head, no cam, engine hadn't even been unwrapped... so I took it all apart myself and gave the head to a specialist to see what happens.
Injectors proved worthy though... 78bhp.

Asswipes, so 78bhp with the 7bhp induction etc? What power did the injectors give?

Standard = 62bhp (rolling road tested)
Induction kit = 69bhp
Remap = 74bhp
Injectors + map tweaked to accommodate (do not just pop the injectors in, your car overfuels like a bitch and goes into limp home mode!!) = 78bhp
To come...
Cam = 8-15bhp
Ported + flowed head = 2-10bhp
Exhaust system = ?
