for the airbag light, try check the seats, they have a plug on them that might not be there or disconnected?

there are also two more connectors, one tucked up under the dash behind the glove box and another under the steering wheel surround. only takes one to be loose for the lights to come on

Ah you bought the one i would have picked  I'm glad you chose that one, the other one wasnt as good.
Shame about all the problems, but it sounds like cheap fixes so not so bad
