The reason that people get half the clocks working is there will be one or two led's solderd in the wrong way wich stops power going to the rest of the leds in series.... u have to remember that leds only let power through one way. Just make a 3v battery from two AA batteries and test as you go along.

I noted that each LED has a square in the corner and this corresponded to the other squares.

I'm thinking maybe i've applied too much heat to the solder and its melted the LEDs?

Can anyone post up a photo of the circuit board so we can cross reference the LEDs?

all led's don't go in the same direction. This is why i advise people to use crazy led's they send to a pic with the - and + marked in blue and red.

Yeah this picture is purely for reference only as to were the smd are located but the - and + could be in any direction. Best thing if not testing is put the replacement smd in line with the old one e.g. position the cut end of the smd to the same on the old smd.

Good guide though i would watch out for the smd lights that go behind the digital dial best leaving them two alone as a blue or red smd will only make it impossible to read the display at night.

Have you not changed the ones behind your display? mine are blue and can read them just the same as when it was green

I have just done this it looks bang on but the only problem I have is the head light and main beam light does not work and for every one that has only half I found that some of my leds had blown so once you have the right way put a fresh one on it works...

Will check tomorrow.

hi, anyone knows what pins should I connect to test my dials without the car, i just mind in using a 12v power supply, so maybe connecting positive and negative terminals to a cutted dash plug I have here maybe work...

I've tried to connect 12v positive to pin 6 black plug and negative to pin 6 black plug and the clock goes on, but still need to know the other 2 pins to turn lights on...
