Manifold is only slotted on at the moment, the bolts arent done up on it just incase
All the hoses are now sorted and i know exactly what goes where i figured out which of those heater matrix ones go where and the hoses for those are identical to the 1.0 ones i currently have so no need for change

Induction hose is a Samco one. They failed to come up with the goods for the coolant hoses, they make them for the VTR but not for the VTS (wtf?) and for a 1 off they said it wouldnt be cost effective to them
so
The coolant ones are from SFS another company that are widely recommended.
Looking at the both of them the SFS ones look of better quality,

Monday 28th January
Started on the loom today (oh the joy) basically it was covered in crap and oil, some of the plugs looked a bit iffy and it basically needed a good check over.
Now this is where i could use some help from any VTS owners out there if you have some spare time
Alot of the plugs i labelled up where they went before dismantling the engine, others though werent connected so ive got no idea where they go.
Heres the pics of the remaining plugs
Following from the main plug that joins the engine loom to the rest of the car loom at the front passenger side of the engine bay this plug is a few branches up from that
These are in the same area as the last one
3 plugs and a random green wire here? any clues
This white one is at the back of the engine
This is my temperature sensor plug, it looks absolutely shagged as the securing it was snapped off on the engines transit to me. How bad is this? Im guessing there should also be 2 metal prongs however there is only 1 internal pink wire that goes to the metal prong that you see there
How can i fix it?
This little pipe comes out of the inlet manifold just behind the throttle body, but where does this end attach to?
This brown plug here is very close to the ECU's large plug
Also the back of my fan unit looks like this, with no plug or anything so where do these 2 wires actually go?
Does anybody know if the starter motor and the mini loom that attaches it to the battery are universal? can i just use my original bits for this?
Thats about all i can think of now lol. Any help will be much appreciated

Top picture - radiator fan ??
Three plugs and green wire - i think the connector with the red slider bit in it attatch's to the lambda sensor - don't know if you need it with kms etc. ?
Temperature sensor - could you just cut the sensor off your old loom, then solder it onto this loom, the wire's should be the same??
Pipe from inlet manifold - I think this is for the brake sevo - so just attatched next to the master cylinder
Brown Plug by ECU - This one goes up into the wing and attatches to some little canister thing.
Cut wires on radiator fan - I think these are some sort of front headlight relays iirc - I'm going to see what happens when I try to plug in vts loom, hopefully won't need these as car should already had headlight relays somewhere.
I think the starter motor is universal as such, I plan on just using my old one for mine, I can't see why they'd be different.
These are just my thoughts whilst looking at the pictures, I might be wrong with some but should give you an idea.

Pic 1 - Unsure?
Pic 2 - Goes to fusebox in engine bay, should be a slidder underneath.
Pic 3 - Lambda Sensor, throttle body heater and crank sensor plug. unsure of green wire.
Pic 5 - Vehicle speed sensor plug. Attaches to top of gearbox
Pic 7 - Brake servo take off pipe to master cylinder.
Pic 8 - Osf arch, purge valve solenoid.
Hope this helps. Ps if you want a vts wiring diagram give me a shout. still got some info from when i was doing my vts loom to megasquirt ecu.

could that green wire be an earth?? That just attatches to the top of the gearbox ?? Is the only real logical place for it due to it's length and it's thickness ??

I think the green one bolts onto the front off the gearbox. It might be the same on your motor mate

Any numbers on them? you'll need to look hard.
Then cross reference the numbers with haynes

Hopefully the haynes manual will be a bit more useful these coming weeks.
Lately everytime i open the book for something i get "this area is not deemed suitable for diy-ists and help should be sought from trained professionals"

Wednesday 30th January
The final countdown of 1.0 power has begun.
The Saxo is going into the garage tomorrow afternoon where the final battle against the French begins
A small journey to work and then a few mile journey to its resting place are the last trips. Its done well and to be fair its been very reliable throughout its 100,900 miles.
Anyway assuming all goes well its onwards and upwards.
Keep your eyes out for the juicy updates on the Transplant itself
