your car is SO nice! I'm thinking of buying a Black VTR and spraying the alloys white and after seeing it on your car I'm positive thats what i want to do! how hard was it to spray the alloys with the tyre still on? do you just put tape round the alloy on the wheel then spray away? also the badges, i was going to leave them standard but what about spraying them? is it fiddly taking them off and putting them back on after?

cheers

hiya and thanks. witht he alloys i rubbed with sandpaper to get rid of the lacquer and abit of paint. that took ages and was an awful job. i then wend round with small strips to cover the whole tyre. then spraid them. it wasnt too awkward with the tyre just push down the back of the lip of the allloy.

with the badges the front chevrons come off by clips on the back of the grill, and the back i took off by pooring boilded water behind the badges to melt the glue on the foam tape. then carefull wedged a card like a credit card to plise it off. but be careful of scratching the paint.
any other questions u would like to ask?

oh right cool, how come you tried sanding it down? i would have thought it would have been easier spraying it straight away? so you took the badges off that way then sprayed them white, how about putting them back on? did you just buy the glue to put them back?

i bought double sided foam tape from halfords and cut it into small strips and stuck it iside the letters then put them back on.
with the wheels i just done what someone else explained what to do. but i think you can get away with just samding down to the paint.
