Well imo you really went to the right people. Looks the nuts.
Bodies are a long way away yet, but not too far in the future. If Im going to do
the engine Im going to do it right.
My aim is just a solid spec that can see 200bhp per tonne. I'll be well pleased
with that. Looking into 708s and uprated internals, jenvey ITBs and a custom
airbox for them.
Going to cost me a bomb but it will be worth the wait lol! May look into fitting
the cams and omex in summer just to keep me going until then.
Opps this is your thread, I say lend me your engine for a bit just to wear it in?

This is good work Lewis. Obviously you have very deep pockets. I hope it all "pays" off.

Fuck me boy so do I lol! Don't get me wrong, I do make sacrifices to have the car like this, it ain't easy but I love it so find a way to get the stuff I want. Anyway, enough preaching bullshit, more updates! (jheah boy! Love that smiley!)
Right, a few more updates. Went to Earls tonight to get all new fuel lines and fittings. I wanted to make the transition to the Teflon hose as it doesn't breathe at all...fucking expensive to change it all though as it requires new fittings as well. I've got some pics below of the new set up, and the differences between the rubber lined and teflon stuff. It's much thinner than the rubber lined hose too. Just shy of £400 for the lot!
The hosing is about 15 a meter, and the fittings are £30 each for the 90 degree ones, and 20 for the straights, so if you ARE considering running your hoses in the car be aware that it is expensive! Still, I have to have this set up with the engine as it's tried and tested, and i'm too lazy to think up a new method!
Also got a few more detail shots of the inlet with the trumpets off. Oh i'll be selling all my old hoses and fitting, and possibly swirl pot too as I want to get pro alloy to make me a mint black one in their new stealth range, so i'm accepting offers on this lot in the bottom pic (excluding the cosworth fuel pump) .
Also a pic of the oil cooler I bought off Bictor!
Here we are anyways
INLET SHOTS:
OIL COOLER:
NEW HOSES AND FITTINGS (CAN'T BELIEVE THIS IS £400 CAN YA-FUCK!)
ONE FITTING PLUMBED IN - YOU CAN SEE THE DIFFERENCE IN HOSE SIZES AND THE FITTINGS HERE (NEW ONE ON LEFT) IT'S STILL DASH SIX HOSE, BUT TEFLON IS THINNER THAN THE RUBBER HENCE LESS BULK IN THE HOSE:
AND MY OLD SET UP FOR SALE - £250 FOR THE LOT, BARGAIN, IT'S OVER £300 WORTH.
JUST SO YOU CAN SEE ALL THE FITTINGS ARE MINT:

it wont make the car stink of petrol.. lol
Lewis i hope your going to mount that swirl pot on the underside of the car,
wouldnt fancy 1.5litres of petrol behind me in an accident,
rather on the outside than in
plus i believe that MSA regs require this, otherwise you need a firewall fitted.
