James's Mk1 VTR - VTS Conversion... [Track Project] Updates/Pics on Page 2!!

Sooo I just bought a car.. a bit different from my 1.4 Furio.

Its got a few mods to say the least and its also MSA log booked, (Maybe thinking about testing it out on the Rally's). But most importantly its still logged as a VTR

Got a few plans for her.. mainly welding so far, maybe Turbo charge it? Going to really enjoy spending time on this project!

It already came it that matt black finish mate.

Set me back a total of 1k which I think is a pretty fair price. I was thinking I could make my money back (if I really wanted too) just by selling the cage and the alloys, maybe the VTS engine? Buttt I'm gunna have some fun tinkering with it instead

Getting it boosted is a serious must I think when I get the funds.

*Quick Update* 8/5/11

List of things to do!
Interior
*Glue flocked Dash back together
*Sort out thin door cards to slot inbetween the roll cage
*Take out front speakers
*Take out front stereo unit/air con etc and replace with my customised one
*Repair cobra monaco racve seats
*Clutch pedal seems loose
*Repair side mirrors
*Fuel being pumped through centre of the car behind the seats, maybe cover it up?
*Repair drivers side door (drops when opening it)
*Slight leak inside both front door panels - Repair!

Exterior
*Sand rust away under wheel arches and coat in underbody seal/hammerite
*Glue 2 wheel arches back on as becoming very loose
*Sort out the leak on the sun roof
*Wield one bonnet pin back on
*Insert morettes and sort out the cold air feed
*Repair the mesh grill at the front as it's become pretty badddd
*Tint spray side lights
*Maybe repair the locking mechanism
*Sax-P stickers maybee?? (Vote now)

Well thats all I can think of right now that needs doing.

I've eventually had some time off from work Time to get working on my VTR. After looking underneath it and realising there was a huge amount of rust I thought I may as well start there. Had Alot of scraping underneath the wheel arches to crack on with...

Took around 6 hours.. Did a pretty decent job of it I think

And thankyou to Halfords.. That cloth is the dogs bollocks

Currently trying to find some arch liners to put in to stop the crap flying up into my engine bay

I also had a very nice delivery today

The Morettes with the Cold Air Feed was a high priority.

What's the spec list of this James? Have you actually got the msa log book as there is a hell of a lot of major things needed to get one that i cant see on the car? :s
