Default Willsys VTS Engine conversion. Hydra now available to others, price included

Right then Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls the Eagle has landed!

The tarted up milk float aka Flymo power! is about to be propelled to the 16v level (About time some might say)

it all started a month or so ago when i received a PM from Paulhev, he was breaking a Saxo a while back and although i couldnt then afford to buy an engine i asked him to look out for a minter for me and let me know. So after a few months i received the message saying he'd got one

At first i was a little uneasy as he got straight to the point saying that it had 98k on it however, he then proceeded to tell me about the service history on it from the last 8k miles which was carried out by a Peugeot Specialist which he had receipts for.....

The receipts covered the following parts (Would save me a great deal when stripping and rebuilding the engine):

Cylinder compression test, cylinders and ancilleries fully restored and new gasket/belts fitted
Parts: Gasket manifold, Head gasket, cam seal, head bolts, cambelt (Totalled £525 inc labour charged)

New ignition coil pack (Totalled £289
inc fitting) Diagnostics check done to ensure engine running smoothly

New clutch £100, Engine mounts new £45

So with al diagnostic checks clear and some of the more expensive parts changed i went ahead and bought it, bearing in mind that itll be fully stripped and rebuilt to new anyway Shibby

Came with all parts except Gearbox and Driveshafts (I want to use my existing 1.1 gearbox-this replaced my 1.0 one a while back) and if possible my existing driveshafts are only 6 months old. Radiator (Ive asked jpsaxo to order me a nice new aluminium one)

Anyway enough of the intro, here goes the progress..........

Stage 1 (The arrival)

Well the engine arrived a few weeks ago and this is how it looked when it came out of the lorry and was unwrapped:

Ive got a full day off work today so im off out to the garage to begin the dismantling process.

More pics and stage 2 to come this afternoon
