I know what you mean about the price, I was after some yellow hosing for my Simota as the yellow one supplied is too short of a Furio. Was told by Samco and another company that I had to order a metre!!! would have cost 80-90 quid!! so I though F**k that and got black 25cm length for like 15quid

Sunday 23rd December
Had a busy day today and decided to attack the Cam covers once and for all and get them finished.
Ive gone up to 1500 grade wet and dry. They look pretty damn good, ill maybe go to 2000 grade if i get chance but im pretty happy with how theyve come out
Picked up a nice new alternator yesterday aswel
Had another shuffle round in the garage again today too, much more room to work on it again now. So here is basically the engine complete and ready to fit. Just need to spend a couple of hours torquing all the bits up fully and double checking it now before work can commence on the car itself

Speak of the devil well i wanted it off the road at the end of last month when tax and insurance ran out.
But
As its so bloody cold and inevitably itll piss it down as soon as i start too ive decided to leave it until we get in this large garage in the new year
Makes sense to do it in the warm and dry with loads of space. Plus end of Jan laurens dad's said hes got 3 weeks off work so we can get loads done.
I still need to sourch a gearbox and i still need to save for ECU and Mapping too which is a fecking arse, very little money at the mo so i may have to borrow off family for that.
And of course i cant fit the engine without those Group N mounts- any news yet?

Still not in stock, nothing can be done untill the french get there arse into gear im affraid mate.
I'm talking to him every week, he's very reliable mate dont worry!!
Tell me about the cold mate, its sooooooo annoying having to do the work in the cold and dark. The amount of times recently i've been lying under the car at 9 or 10pm in the freezing cold, on my own, cant feel the end of my fingers etc
but its all worth it when summer comes around mate, makes it mean sooo much more when you have been lying under the car at silly times at night, working your ass off, puoring money into a project and doing all the work yourself, trust me
Cant wait to have this unit, i'll randomly text you every now and again and say i'm down the unit.... Lol
