early morning update.
I got my wellers back from being banded last Friday, and I'm really pleased with how they've turned out:
and as my car is in the body shop getting ready for BHP Show, I managed to get VT_Kris round to let me test fit my wheels on his car. bare in mind that his car isn't lowered yet.
Turns out I need a t least a 5mm spacer to clear the brakes.
I also started work on my new dust caps.
the picture quality is crap but let me know what you think anyway

For close up photos, trying using the Macro setting usually a picture of a flower or something. If your camera has it. Car looks lovely mate, you're spending alot of time getting it right and thats good, cutting no corners (just cutting boot lids up hehe ), the way you are able to fanny about with it in a shed/garage etc makes me jealous, kind of ideas i had with mine, but all mine has done is drain my bank balance for the wrong reasons.
Good luck with it sir!
Ryan

I can't wait lol. dropping them off at the powder coaters on Saturday. I'm still not sure about how much poke they will have. I dont want to run the risk of
going too wide and being pulled by the po po everyday.
I'll have your boot for you on the weekend too

Well they look flush on vt-kris car so with a 5mm spacer and a bit of stretch they will be perfect i reckon.
And i'd completely forgotten about the boot lol, cheers man

ye I spose. I'm only going for 185/50/14 tyres too so there won't be a monumental amount of stretch. if need be I'll widen the arches a tiny bit too.
what u doing about the 50mm spax kit u got offered then?

Ahh fair enough, im not a fan of massive stretch anyway tbh! And yeah you could always pull the arches a bit, krisb did mine on my old car.
Ermm im guessing you mean the ones from the guy local that commented on my progress thread? I messaged him asking how much he wants etc, they've barely done any miles apparently but im pretty skint at the moment, dont get paid until 26th either. So i set i'll drop him a message on the 26th to see if he's still got them and we'll go from there.

Wheels look like they will have a decent amount of poke tbh mate! The trooper dustcaps should look smart as well Look forward to seeing the car out the body shop!

I think you should definitely go for the spax kit when you get payed. like you said before you don't wanna go completely slammed so it's a perfect kit
