Sorry for the delay people.
The build stopped pretty much after my last post, lack of funds, lack of motivation and the decision not to build a race car put a stop to it.
However...
The current car is looking a little tatty underneath so the reshell is back on!!
My current plan is to pick this shell up from the shot blaster where it's been sat for god knows how long and install the cage and brace it up!
I'll be using the current car this year and October time I'll take it off the road, transfer everything over to the new one. At the same time I'm looking to swap cams, headwork and a few tweeks to hopefully take it up to to 190Bhp+
I'll build this to the blue book/CCSC regulations as I'm still hoping to eventually race!
A few snaps of the current car as pictures always make for a better thread..

Too true!
Had a cracking day at Combe today, rained all day but that didn't stop me enjoying it and practising my wet weather driving!

Thanks mate! Was stuck behind a dickhead in a civic that wouldn't let me past for the majority of the session nailed a few before that though.
Had some issues on the second session and got recovered off which sucked but onwards and upwards need to find some faults and tweek some bits!
It doesn't look rotten out there does it

Slight delay! It's been a busy time but the reshell is back on!
It's heading to the Mr Willy (metal God) for the cage to go in, strut tops, seat rails, stitching and bracing.
Will keep you posted with any progress, and it will be soon!

Man that must take ages to reassemble a bare shell! Proper build though no half ass job so props.

Haha I'm looking forward to doing it at the moment but a build like this is going to have its highs and lows. Will be worth it in the end. It's one of those things that will probably only be built once and afterwards be patched back together and a added too so might aswell put a bit of extra legwork in now to do it right and try and make it last as long as possible.
Some of the cars in the series are pretty ropey tbh, but the guy that's doing the metal work for me is massively OCD so should be well made and hopefully a thing of beauty'

i`m positive that`s my old cage.

Also ordered these goodies!

It's only 590g so nice and light and kicks out 2.2kw of heat
And this!
Should work well with the fibreglass dash! Will be running both in the Saxo to see how they work out
