could do the bay. I'll be running a very similar setup only with a facet red top pump and probably have the swirl pot mounted on the underside of the car at the back. again > dont fancy 1.5 litres of fuel next to a hot as hell engine.
I arent building mine to MSA regs but dont want it to be too far out. MSA Logbooked cars sell for a FOOKING lot more than road cars do. Im sure if yours was MSA logbooked after your build if u ever came to sell it, you'd get obscene money for it too, instead of a daft 5k or something.. would be more like 10 or 20k if you spend money on the right bits suspension & box wise. It wouldnt really be much out from a kitcar spec with the longman engine and good suspension tbars etc.. just wouldnt have the wide track, kitcar rear axle the bodykit or the sadev box.. but again if you had that list price would be in excess of 50k, going by current rally cars for sale prices that is.
Something to think about though for the future. ie > place extinguisher in the right place, make sure cage is tig welded (as i dont believe MSA regs allow mig welding now?). daft things like that.
Either way it looks awesome. Wish i had the moeny for all them daft earls fasteners.

Thanks Jessop I have been thinking about time attack etc, and there are a few things i'd need to change to get it suitable now but nevermind. Will prob leave time attack until next year now - after a fresh build!
I haven't updated this thread on here in a while so here it goes:
A few updates, aparts from dying with a flu bug today I managed to do a few bits on saturday..despite the SHITE weather all day.
Sold my Recaro's to Bic's brother (new Clio Cup Project underway now too!) So I need to decide on some new seats. Will prob leave them until last as I need the money for other things right now - namely gearbox and engine bay prep, & how can we forget, coilovers!
I started to install my fuel lines which was a fiddly fecking jon, but made a start...pics of that to follow. The main thing I did was install these porsche grab handles. The handle is fixed but the doorcard and surround need to still be bonded into place. Going to flock the surround so it matches the door handle too. This was a bitch of a job to get right as I didn't think about it enough initally and drilled a hole in the wrong place but I got round it with some initative. Think it looks much tidier than the previous ones. Also you can see the streamline carbon doorcards which I got back from being retrimmed too - the quality is stunning!! Thanks to Merv & Bic for those.
Anyway here is the pic:

Seriously love this car dude! You've done some very tidy work!!
Did you use Streamline carbon for all your carbon bits? Did you find their work good? As I bought a carbon cover from them and it was the worse fit ever!

Now that looks much better than the cheapo CF ones. Very nice.
Random, but whats your main aims with the car, just a track toy or serious competition
cause some of the parts you are getting/have got are pretty serious stuff!

Adz21 - Yes I use streamline mate. If you've bought something and aren't happy by all means give Bic or Merv a call. They will be happy to sort out the problems you are having with it, or even send you another. They are top blokes!
Rush - Well initially I set out to just build a wicked track car but to the best of my abilities/budget. I've kinda got carried away in the process but the view is to perhaps start doing something like time attack at some stage. It should be in the right kinda power band once it's done.

Cheers fella! I did speak to them and they were helpful but still... the cover didn't fit in the slightest, which to me is stupid.

LMAO Craig! Thanks mate, it\s still a fair way off yet!
And I have no idea how much i've spent to date - owned it 4 years or so so that doesn't really come into it tbh! Thinking about it depresses me too!
