Alex mine did that when the alternator was overcharging mate... Stopped the engine idillying properly aswell... Worth a try

Nah it cuts out if i wiggle the wiring around the ecu. And i doubt the alternator is overcharging, you should see the bodgery on the pulley etc

plus it's charging about 14.3v which is normal.

Well i've done a lot on it recently, no updates though cos i'm a cruel bastard and want to keep everyone wondering what's going on with it

Hope to give it a drive about on the road in the next few weeks, being may now i only have 10 weeks till germany, which might sound like a long time but it really isnt' when you're working a lot of saturdays and got no money to buy stuff.

I think so, i got it delivered elsewhere, it should be with me this evening.

The vtr wheels sold, as did the GTi box, so that replenishes my bonk accoooooont, thank fuck.

Not much left to get the car track ready, just some welding, some wiring and some brakes, w0000t.

you can have a pulley if its on the cheap engine, im not ripping the mint one up as then i cant sell it as a complete conversion.

It's to cover the hole left where the stereo was, because i have relocated the gauges and window switches, so i will unfortunately end up butchering a slither of it to take the gauges and switches.

I am selling the rest on as pre cut stereo hole covers

Evening and weekend blasts, well whenever i fancy a fun drive tbh, it should be totally useable, and with the soundtrack of the engine you don't need a stereo anyway

The speakers, wiring and stereo wiring all went ages ago.

As i said up top, i'm not updating this thread for a while, you'll have to wait and see what happens
