|
the drain pipes are ports thay let the presure out like you said but changing the lengh of them changes th tuning of the bass so atm thay are 15" long witch gives me 25hz tuning witch is very low witch is very good for most music so when the low bass hits on music it plays it very loud and shakes the car to bits as the low tuning moves alot of air. if i switch the ports for shorter ports the tuning gets higher say around 50hz witch will make the car alot louder to the ear but it wont play music very well as it wont be abe to hit the lower notes well
its best to change tuning for different competions so for prooper dropers thay test 5 different notes 20,25,33,40 and what ever note you car peaks so with 25hz tuning my car should get a very good score in this format
but then you get db drag witch you have to get as loud as possibal on a db mic thats when i would be better with higher tuning as higher the tuning the higher the score on th mic but some db drag cars normaly only play one note as thay tune it so high it just wont play music

that is mental.
i have heard a car with an mtx jackhammer in it as the main feature, so i can only assume this install is just as loud or even louder.
nice one
