Trial fitted the BE gearbox tonight finally.... however there are some room issues which have put a spanner in the works
the front of the BE bellhousing fouls the actuator of my turbo, well not the bell housing, more so the clutch cable arm... will get some pics tomorrow
have a few options now.... - will try number 1 first and see what happens
1 - buy a flange that sits between manifold and downpipe with external wastegate port, this will then get rid of the actuator issue and should be a fairly easy fix, need to do some measuring first though
2 - go back to a ma box
3 - buy a new turbo manifold which doesnt offset the turbo towards the gearbox, will need new downpipe also though

Even if you go for option 1 the chances are you will need to modify the downpipe, oil drain, oil feed??

hadnt thought of that, not sure what to do to be honest, think i may go for different manifold and downpipe / turbo and sell mine
taken pics mate, but cant find my camera lead  - thats why no pics of be box in

Seems a lot of work considering you've
Just had the car an you want some use out of it..
Why don't you put in a Quaife'd ma for now and get some trackdays in whilst you collect all the parts you need to change
Everything.?

may be a better idea to sell the be box with shafts etc... then buy an ma box with diff

right even after removing actuator the be box still fouls the turbo when clutch arm fitted...
hopefully done a deal and will end up with an s2 rallye box with diff in a few weeks, so going to concentrate on rest of car for now

yes mate, long term will be fit ma with diff, get several spare pairs of shafts and abuse it to be honest! fed up of cars being on axle stands in the garage!!
then around xmas time, engine will come out, spray bay, fit new worked head, c2 inlet and gmc tb, fit forged rods, arp bolts, acl bearings, send turbo off to be converted from td04 15t to a td04 19t, turn the boost up then ring time next year

as above mate, just go for MA for now, then get the lots changed over when you add the new parts, be alot eaiser to pull the lot out and sort it form there while its being painted,
bosh it back together quick and youve still got plenty time for some track days this year!!

new clutch arrived today, a new luk 4 paddle clutch with plate cover and bearing for £65got to love ebay!
Be gearbox is now back out and awaiting collection from its new owner who'll be bringing me my new gearbox....
safety devices cage mounts have been ordered, also got a pair of diablo red doors coming as both of mine are in pretty bad condition, these will then be painted on the inside and my new doorcards fitted
pics when it all happens, ill chuck it all back together asap and get out and do some track days

Ahhh gutted about the BE box problems man!
the MA box with diff fitted you had on the 106 is still holding up at 300+bhp and no signs of being destroyed! I think you'll be fine with an MA and diff mate! get it out and have some fun with it!
